... But when some people are asked to define attitudes, they often respond:
“It’s an employee who is always late for work,”
“When a teacher is constantly complaining about things” or
“When my sales associates won’t ask for the order.”
However... they are describing the behaviors and actions that are the result of attitudes.
Can people change their attitudes?
Yes.
Is it easy? No.
However, before a person can make a significant change in their performance,
there must be a
change in one’s attitudes (ways of thinking).
How Does Change Come About?
In order for you to become better at what you do, you must change.
The following diagram will describe the three levels of change.

Change starts with information that causes
Awareness.
This information may be new information or
new insights from previous information.
Awareness will change a person’s Attitudes (ways of thinking).
This may be emotionally charged in a positive or negative way.
Performance will be changed based on a person’s new attitudes.
“Learning is finding out what you already know.
Doing is demonstrating that you know it.
Teaching is reminding others that they know it was as well you do.
We are all learners, doers and teachers."
Richard Bach
